Who’s behind your reading
House Call is one editor, three anonymous tradition consultants who sourced the reference corpus, and a custom LLM trained on that corpus that drafts the synthesis. Every reading is reviewed by a human - the editor - before it ships. We’re upfront about this because the arithmetic of three-tradition synthesis at this price point only works with an AI drafter, and we’d rather tell you than have you wonder. Editor & curator
The practitioner. The only human who reads, reviews, and ships every House Call reading. Background in software and long-form editorial; not a primary practitioner of any single tradition. The role is closer to editor-in-chief than lead astrologer: sourcing the consultants who built the corpus, shaping the model’s synthesis prompts, cross-checking each draft against the chart math, rewriting passages that drift into horoscope-grade generality, and deciding what does and doesn’t go to the customer. The Western consultant
Tradition: Vronsky-tradition classical Western astrology. Role at House Call: contributed the Western reference passages the drafter draws from - traditional dignities, chart-ruler doctrine, Saturn returns, Jupiter cycles, and the outer-planet transits over the load-bearing structures of a chart. Reads in the lineage of Robert Hand, Demetra George, Charles Obert. Does not write per-customer prose; the corpus they built is what the model synthesises against.
The BaZi consultant
Tradition: Chinese Four-Pillars (Day Master tradition), trained in Hong Kong. Role at House Call:contributed the BaZi reference passages - hour-pillar precision, five-element balance, 10-year luck pillars, the practical decade-by-decade texture that Western astrology doesn’t cleanly access. Both Cantonese and English source material went into the corpus. Does not write per-customer prose; the corpus they built is what the model synthesises against.
The Vedic consultant
Tradition: Sidereal Vedic Jyotish (Lahiri ayanamsa) with Vimshottari Dasha + Nakshatra focus. Role at House Call:contributed the timing-layer reference - dasha periods, nakshatra padas, mahadasha/antardasha breakdowns. The reason a House Call reading can say “the Saturn mahadasha runs from 2031 to 2050 and the first Jupiter antardasha within it spans 2032-2034” instead of just “around your Saturn return.” Does not write per-customer prose; the corpus they built is what the model synthesises against.
The drafting model
A custom LLM trained on the three reference corpora above plus the editor’s voice samples (5-10 prior readings on similar configurations, redacted of identifying info). The model reads your chart math and the curated reference passages keyed to your configuration, then drafts the synthesis - identifying where the traditions converge, diverge, or contradict, and writing the “short answer” callouts. The editor reviews and rewrites before it ships. The model never sees your email, name, location beyond city, or any history from outside House Call.
